The name "zebu"
refers to the humped cattle of the world and are more
commonly called brahman in the usa. Originally imported
from India, they are sacred and worshiped there. They
ARE a different species from common westarn non-humped beef and
dairy cattle. They are very emotional, and are most loveable
when treated with compassion. If abused they can be quite
nasty. Their hair is short and hide is loose and feels
quite exotic. The loose hide does make them more difficult
to ride bareback. They are very intelligent.
